What You’ll Do

As a Marketing and Communications Co-op, you’ll be an integral part of our North America Marketing team, contributing to several exciting projects and campaigns in 2024, including:

Internal Communications and Marketing program support:

Support the development of our Leaders in Focus campaign, bringing to life the personal passions and commercial wins of our most senior partners at the firm through written and video story telling assets. Managing details and deliverables across a broad cross-functional working team.
Support the Leadership Compass Series, led by Sharon Marcil, BCG NA Chair, featuring conversations with C-suite executives on overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities. Responsibilities include researching interviewees, assisting with question development, and managing final asset distribution.
Draft engaging slack messages and social media post copy to help amplify our regional branding/marketing content.
Production support for photo and video shoots to support brand content.
Help drive the development of our very popular internal newsletter for all BCG North America staff (called “The What You Might Have Missed”) – gaining expertise in project management, content development, writing, editing, and using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Help create (write, design & distribute) our Office Digital Signage (using PowerPoint), which is displayed in every BCG North America office.
When needed, help our North America Marketing team develop and design other internal communications in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).

You’re good at

We are looking for a candidate who has an entrepreneurial spirit and is comfortable thinking outside of the box.
Has a passion for Marketing and Communications, with strong written and verbal communication skills and interest in writing, copy- editing, and identifying ways to best communicate defined objectives.
The job requires an individual with independent work skills, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and is pro-active in communicating.
An individual with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate well with others. You bring fun and positive energy to the office.
Project management, planning, and coordination skills – demonstrated ability to excel in a complex environment and make progress on multiple priorities simultaneously.
One that is highly motivated, enjoys being challenged, and has good executive presence.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have completed at least one prior co-op or internship experience in Marketing or Communications and has solid experience with Outlook and PowerPoint.
Must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in the Northeastern University Co-op Program
Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, and/or Communications majors or experience preferred
An ideal candidate will be capable of working independently. They will also need to work well with a variety of stakeholders within the marketing department and the regional office teams, and collaborate with team members on multi-step projects
Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the minimum duration of the co-op cycle (July-December),and be in the office 3-4 days a week in alignment with key marketing team members.
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Who You’ll Work With

BCG’s North America Branding and Internal communications teams that work closely with other parts of BCG’s North America Marketing organization (e.g., Social Media and Public Relations) and our region’s senior leadership, including our Chief Marketing Officer, our North America Chairman, and our Chief of Staff office. The team collaborates often and closely across BCG’s functions (e.g., HR, PA Marketing teams, Finance, Business Services, and Consulting People Team).
