FUNCTION:
The Casino Marketing Manager has a strong understanding of player development and casino marketing.
This role will focus on creating and executing strategies to attract and retain players, drive revenue, and enhance the overall guest experience at the Nugget. Utilizing strategic thinking skills, with the ability to analyze data, create target campaigns, and lead initiatives to improve player loyalty and engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice, ensuring excellent customer service skills.
Troubleshoot guest concerns regarding data entered into tracking systems and offer timely resolutions.
Answer guest questions and provide assistance regarding hotel services, hours of operation, directions to local attractions, function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.
Walk the casino floor to meet and greet both new and established guests, building strong relationships.
Mentor and guide Casino Hosts to meet productivity standards and improve guest satisfaction.
Make room reservations, arrange amenities, and prepare welcome packets for casino guests. Block rooms for “high-roller” guests.
Complete weekly reports and all necessary paperwork (i.e., comp slips, reservation requests, etc.)
Assist in setting up and running casino events, promotions, and special activities within the casino.
Assist Slot Attendants with comp decisions based on customer standing and loyalty.
Answer calls, process guest requests, and maintain consistent follow-up to ensure proper communication with both guests and team members.
Collaborate with internal departments to provide and obtain necessary information to deliver optimal guest service, including Hotel departments in an effort to provide/obtain pertinent information needed to ensure proper guest service is provided.
Maintain compliance with hotel rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities.
Develop and implement marketing strategies that drive player engagement, acquisition, and retention.
Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to meet departmental and company goals.

Collaborate with the creative team to develop engaging promotional materials, offers, and digital content.
Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and emerging marketing tactics to ensure the Nugget remains competitive.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Perform all responsibilities in compliance with current federal and state/provincial regulations, the regulations, and departmental policies and procedures.
Address guest concerns and or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
Regular predictable attendance is required.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: VP of Marketing

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 21 years of age.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION LEVEL:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.

EXPERIENCE:
Previous Casino Marketing/Player Development Managerial experience required.
2-4 years of practical experience; any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, or abilities of the position is required.
Experience with casino marketing, hotel reservations, guest relations, or similar roles preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbally required.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook and Power Point required.
Expert level knowledge of Excel required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Nevada Employee Gaming registration is required.
Alcohol Awareness Certification is required.
Valid Nevada driver’s license and 3-year clean DMV printout is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs. may be required depending on the position.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
