We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Administrator to join our team at At Home Auto Glass. The Inventory Administrator plays a crucial role in maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring the availability of auto glass products and related supplies, and supporting efficient shop operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with technicians, vendors, and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of all inventory, including auto glass, tools, adhesives, and other related materials.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records.
Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies to avoid shortages or overstock.
Order Processing:
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to place orders for auto glass and other materials.
Track shipments, ensure timely deliveries, and resolve any order discrepancies.
Verify invoices against received inventory for accuracy.
Warehouse Organization:
Oversee the proper storage and labeling of inventory to ensure easy access and minimize damage.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the storage areas.
Implement and maintain inventory management systems or processes.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with technicians and shop staff to forecast inventory needs based on project schedules.
Communicate with vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and quality issues.
Report inventory status and trends to management, providing recommendations for improvement.
Quality Control:
Inspect incoming shipments to ensure they meet quality standards and match purchase orders.
Identify and address damaged or defective materials, coordinating returns or exchanges when necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or certification in inventory management, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in inventory management, logistics, or a similar role, preferably in the automotive or glass industry.
Proficiency in inventory management software and basic office applications (e.g., MS Office, Excel).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift and move materials as needed (up to [specific weight, e.g., 50 lbs]).
Familiarity with auto glass or automotive parts is a plus.
