Job Purpose: The Content & Media Relations Manager will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing and media strategies, including content creation, media campaigns, and stakeholder relationships. This role involves collaborating with the global organization to develop and adapt materials for the US market while managing relationships with media partners, influencers, and key opinion leaders.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Content & Creative Development
Lead the development and production of marketing content, including photoshoots, videos, and written materials
Write and oversee product and brand copy, coordinating with external copywriting suppliers when needed
Manage the production process for marketing content, ensuring high quality and alignment with brand guidelines
Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of marketing materials
Media & Communications
Plan, implement, and analyze media campaigns to enhance brand visibility
Build and maintain relationships with media partners, influencers, and key opinion leaders
Monitor media coverage and prepare comprehensive activity reports
Manage media inquiries and coordinate interviews with company representatives
Maintain reporting system on Testing & Evaluation guns loaned for review, tracking media outcomes
Maintain and update the company’s social media channels and website
Strategic & Collaborative Responsibilities
Collaborate with the global organization to adapt marketing materials for the US market
Lead initiatives that will be adopted by the global organization
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to execute marketing campaigns
Analyze the effectiveness of marketing content and campaigns, providing insights for improvement
Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all marketing materials
Industry-Specific Requirements
Demonstrate thorough understanding of firearm mechanics, operations, and safety protocol
Show proficiency in industry-standard terminology and nomenclature
Enthusiastically represent firearms products without ethical conflict for law enforcement, self-defense, competition, and hunting purposes (both subsistence and trophy)

Education
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or equivalent experience in place of a degree.
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, media relations, or content development
Demonstrated expertise in firearms, ammunition, and accessories, including technical understanding and safety protocols
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
Proven experience in content creation, including photoshoots and video production
Demonstrated success in media relations and influencer relationship management
Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities
Proficiency in:
Adobe Creative Suite
Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Social media management platforms
Digital marketing tools
Proven analytical skills with ability to interpret media and marketing data
Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities
Ability to work effectively with global teams and adapt materials for different markets
Preferred Experience & Skills
Firearms industry experience at retail, distribution, or brand level
Experience managing cross-functional teams
Advanced data analysis capabilities
Relevant industry certifications
Multilingual abilities is a plus
Knowledge of media monitoring tools and techniques

Regular travel is up to 25%, domestically and internationally
Additional Eligibility Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to legally possess firearms under applicable laws.
Must know basic firearms safety.
Ability to pass a criminal background test and drug test.
Ability to work overtime when required.
