Minimum Qualifications
Degree in Communications, Marketing or similar field or similar years of experience in related field. Experience with social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of social media best practices and trends.
Desired Qualifications
Basic photography and videography skills, including the ability to create high-quality content using a smartphone or camera. Experience with social media analytics tools and strategies for audience engagement. Prior experience in marketing, social media management or public relations.
Position Purpose
Job Duties
Create and share engaging content (photos, videos, posts, stories) that highlights events, student experiences, academic programs, and faculty achievements within the School of Education and Human Services (SEHS).
Identify and interview a minimum of one individual (student, alum, faculty or staff) each week to be featured on SEHS social channels.
Promote events, workshops and initiatives hosted by SEHS.
Engage with followers by responding to comments, questions and messages in a timely manner.
Attend events on behalf of SEHS to capture live content and share real-time updates.
