Elevate the narrative of Europe’s premier event circuits as our PR specialist, where your creativity and strategic vision will shape the storytelling of the Bits & Pretzels Festival. This pivotal role invites you to harness the power of content to captivate, engage, and inspire our diverse audiences, setting new benchmarks in event marketing excellence.
Your tasks & responsibilities:
• Develop and execute PR strategies to strengthen the brand’s media presence Europe-wide
• Serve as the main contact for journalists, editors, and media partners
• Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and official statements
• Coordinate interview requests and media opportunities for founders and speakers
• Maintain and update the press mailing list and media database
• Organize and manage on-site press accreditation and support during events
• Prepare press kits, background materials, and key messaging documents
• Monitor media coverage and compile regular press clippings and reports
• Collaborate with the content, marketing, and social media teams to align messaging
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with key media outlets, especially in the startup, tech, and business sectors
• Support in crisis communication and reputation management- Help with administrative tasks related to marketing and event production
Your Profile:
• Degree in Communications, PR, Journalism or a related field- 2+ years experience in public relations, communications or media (agency or in-house)
• Proven track record of media placements and campaign results
• Experience in events, startups, tech or business journalism is a strong plus
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools and press distribution platforms
• You’re a natural communicator – clear, compelling, and confident
• You build strong relationships with journalists and media partners
• You understand news cycles and what makes a story relevant
• You’re organized, reliable, and can juggle multiple topics and deadline
• You speak fluent English and German and can write editorial-quality content
• You’re calm under pressure and unafraid to take ownership
