We are seeking an experienced communications professional tojoin our team. As the PR Specialist for Amazon AI, you’ll work across the Amazon communications team – including Devices & Services, Prime Video, Stores, and more – to help manage our coordinated, multi-channel, company-wide AI storytelling. You will manage key mechanisms, such as editorial calendars, measurement and reporting; help surface opportunities forcollaborativestorytelling across owned, earned, and paid channels;
and help share learnings and best practices across the team.
The ideal candidate will be highlycollaborative; adept at dealing with ambiguity and tight deadlines; and have experience working to high standards. To be successful in this role you will need excellent communications skills, exemplary writing ability, exceptional initiative, and a talent forcollaboration. You should have experience delivering results with high standards under tight deadlines. Creativity andflexibilityare a must, as well as a knack for jumping in on projects where needed.
Key job responsibilities
Help manage team goal setting, as well as cadence with internal stakeholders and external PR agencies.
Provide support to scale effectiveness of owned, earned, and paid communications programs.
Build trust with key business stakeholders, look around corners to anticipate trends and issues.
Manage unexpected, complex communications challenges utilizing high judgment and strong bias for action.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
Bachelor’s degree
Experience managing media relationships and pitching stories to the media.
Ability to thrive in afast-pacedand deadline-oriented environment.
Excellent written and oralcommunication skills.
Strong judgment and the ability to respond quickly, yet thoughtfully, to urgent PR matters.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Anentrepreneurial spirit, including ability to work independently and autonomously.
Outstandingattention to detail, understanding of technology, and ability to communicate complex topics effectively.
Thrives in acollaborative environmentand is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
In-house communications experience in tech or artificial intelligence.
