SALARY – £40,000- £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
TYPE – Permanent
Location- Bristol
My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Product Manager with a background in Mechanical Product Design to join their team in Bristol on a permanent basis.
The Product Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
Experience working in a similar role within market analysis
Background in product development and lifecycle management within a manufacturing environment
Proven experience in marketing strategy development and execution
Experience in B2B or technical/engineering marketing
Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or similar
Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.
Knowledge of a variety of materials – sheet metal, injection moulded plastics etc.
Be able to read engineering drawings
Ability to liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Strong leadership skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver results on time and budget
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Responsibilities include:
Leading product development projects from concept to production
Exploring the market and investigating new trends to identify new opportunities and target audiences
Analysing customer reaction and discussing their needs
Being involved in the design, prototyping, and testing of new products
Developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to drive business growth
Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to support product launches
Working with sales and engineering teams to create engaging, CAD-driven content
Tracking and analysing marketing performance metrics to optimise strategies
Attending events, trade shows, and product launches
