Role:
A Product Manager owns a product line from inception to the end of its lifecycle, directing its development and ensuring it aligns with customer needs and the company’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct market research to understand user needs.
– Define product features and requirements.
– Create and manage a product roadmap and timeline.
– Develop competitor analysis and product positioning strategies.
– Create product strategy documents that outline business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI.
– Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams.
– Define metrics to measure the product’s success.
– Drive product planning processes across cross-functional teams.
– Assess current competitor offerings and identify opportunities for differentiation.
– Strategize and execute appropriate go-to-market plans.
– Incorporate customer feedback into the product development lifecycle.
– Analyze market data to develop sales strategies and define product objectives for effective marketing communications.
Skills Required:
– Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
– High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams.
– Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies.
– Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
Educational Qualification & Experience:
– Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA with 6 to 8 years of experience in product development, with a minimum of 6 years in a Product Management role.
– Demonstrable experience in engineering product design and development lifecycle.
– Knowledge of Agile processes and practices in software development lifecycles.
– Effective communication skills with the ability to drive change across the organization.
– Excellent problem-solving skills, complemented by effective decision-making abilities.
– Exposure to product management tools, methodologies, and processes.
