Mission:
Vista Del Mar provides a trauma-responsive continuum of services to empower children, youth, and families in Southern California to lead fulfilling lives.
The Development and Marketing Coordinator will support all marketing needs and requests in a professional, timely and efficient manner. This position reports to the Associate Director of Development and Marketing and will also work closely with the Vice President of Development and the Events and Communication Manager. Executing the above requires that the coordinator communicate effectively and provides constant maintenance of office protocol, timing and organization. The position is both the “voice” and “point of entry” to Vista Del Mar and the Development department. Each communication, call, email or “in person” must
be approached with the highest level of priority and professionalism and towards the future potential of the donor. As part of the Development Team, all aspects of this position are aimed at
raising more dollars and increasing awareness of Vista Del Mar in the community. Accountable to: Associate Director of Development and Marketing.
Essential Job Duties (other duties may be assigned):
Coordinate the process of upgrading/ updating website.
Manage outside vendors.
Website coordination
Manage content with other departments.
Manage all social media:
Content creation.
Posting or overseeing the posting.
Monitoring and reporting on monthly activity, developing strategy to increase on-line presence.
Overseeing VDM postings on other social venues and on-line opportunities.
Manage electronic outgoing communication:
Through Constant Contact, Mail Chimp and other opportunities like “GO”;
Collecting information.
Maintaining communications scheduling.
Creating regular targeted communications. Office Management:
Maintaining office supplies and all department needs, with approval of appropriate supervisor,
including but not limited to business cards, office equipment, interoffice communication, paper
and other office requests.
Responsible for maintenance and organization and appearance of department space, including
storage areas with updated and on-going inventories.
Manage telephone, reception and department messages.
Maintain development department calendar and coordination with agency calendar, also
alerting Executive Office of important dates.
Tribute information and implementation:
Timing must be maintained with 24-hour turnaround unless absolutely necessary.
Immediate response to missed calls. Immediate forward of info to data manager.
Provides a creative approach to market and promote the tribute process.
Qualifications Required:

essential functions. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing. Experience working for a non-profit organization a plus. Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
Other Skills and Abilities: Must have visual, physical and technical ability to independently use a computer and be familiar with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, being able to input as well as retrieve information when needed from agency data systems. Education:
Minimum of BA degree
Experience: 3-5 years previous related experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None.
Analytical Skills:
Salary – $22 – $23.50 hourly
