Job Summary –
Over the Top Marketing is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Production Assistant to join our team. This position reports to the Creative Services Manager and collaborates closely with the Associate Creative Director (ACD) and videographer. As a Production Assistant, you will support the creative team in producing high-quality video content for social platforms, ensuring all shoots run smoothly and efficiently. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about digital content creation or advertising and eager to gain experience in a creative, fast-paced environment. This is a part-time role with the opportunity to full-time and the applicant must be based in Orange County, CA to be considered.
Key Responsibilities –
Pre-Production Support:
Assist with logistical needs for campaigns such as securing locations – including outreach and ability to drive within Orange County to identify potential locations.
Utilize Backstage to post talent/content creator listings, screen submissions, and schedule casting calls with the creative team.
Help with creating and distributing detailed Milanotes, shot lists and call sheets.
Order any necessary wardrobe and props for shoots.
Coordinate equipment pickups and returns.
Handle administrative tasks such as talent paperwork and assist Creative Services Manager with talent payments and invoicing.
On-Set Support:
Manage talent and ensure they are briefed and prepared for their scenes.
Oversee continuity and assist in keeping the production on schedule.
Handle any on-set tasks, such as running errands or monitoring shot lists.
Social Media Awareness:
Understand the requirements for social media platforms like Meta, TikTok and YouTube.
Stay up-to-date with emerging social media trends to support creative decision making during ideation/concepting development.
Qualifications –
Passion for advertising, social media, and video production.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Basic knowledge of camera and lighting equipment is a plus.
Familiarity with video content tailored for digital and social media platforms.
Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to assist in various tasks wherever needed.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Comfortable standing, walking, or moving for extended periods.
Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings or weekends as needed.
Compensation –
Pay Rate:
$24/hour
20-25 hours per week
