The Consumer Products Division of TekniPlex aspires to transform market insights into value-add solutions, more effectively than our competition, enabling our customers to grow profitably and sustainably in their markets
The Marketing Lead of Fresh Food Solutions (FFS) will focus on understanding the regional market landscape and drive the growth strategies and and Go-To-Market plans in region to accelerate growth in alignment with the overall Segment Strategy across the Americas. He /she will capture market insights, provide customer & market expertise to support the sales team. He/she will be responsible for assisting in defining and driving the product portfolio, new business and product development pipeline and definition of our value proposition in the markets we choose to play as well as pricing strategy and profitability of the portfolio. He/she will track performance (volume, price, sales, GM trends) versus budget and strategic objectives. Success in this role requires extensive coordination with Sales, Product Development, Manufacturing, Finance, Tech Ops, Procurement, and other colleagues to ensure delivery of product solutions in line with market, customer and our internal objectives. He/she will help drive awareness of Tekni solutions in select markets driving lead generation and support local trade shows in collaboration with Communications
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop clear understanding of market and customer needs to be solved near and longer term. This includes macro, market, customer and sustainability trends as well as regulatory factors. Define product requirements, per market.
Take part in defining Go-To-Market plans leveraging existing products and identify / drive product development pipeline to expand product portfolio in our existing and adjacent markets. This includes establishing target customers and growth expectations by understanding customer landscape and segmentation in target markets, who is winning /losing, what products/volumes they are buying from current suppliers.
Help to establish focus and drive execution of accelerated growth programs by assessing market attractiveness, defining right to win in new markets, and developing execution plans.
Play a role in establishing Tekni’s value proposition and competitive position in the market. Assess Product Portfolio & Competitive Landscape including SWOT, key learnings from wins / losses, and other insights.
Help to drive sales pipeline realization and build NBD/NPD pipeline in collaboration with functions. Collaborate with sales to develop position to approach existing and new customers. Spearhead resolution of challenges in converting opportunities to sales. Enable building of stickier relationships with customers.
Support “One Tekni” capabilities and products for each market, in region and across Americas. Identify gaps in portfolio and capacity to close.
Build Brand awareness translating marketing plans into Communication plans in partnership with CPD/Corp Comms team.
Support margin optimization via efforts including understanding of market pricing strategy, mix shifts and rationalization in alignment with the market.
Manage key projects to enable pipeline conversion.
Baseline, track, and report out on market segment performance (volume, price, sales, GM trends) versus budget and strategic objectives.
Key performance indicators (KPIs) include Revenue & profit growth, margin, Opportunity & innovation pipeline, and Win rate.
QUALIFICATIONS
5 or more years full-time experience in product management, sales, marketing, or financial analysis.
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or sciences, or business. MBA preferred.
Packaging industry experience a plus.
Consumer products Food and Beverage experience a plus.
Track record of identifying margin growth opportunities through detailed marketing/sales/financial analysis
Bi-lingual (Spanish and English)
