Job Summary:
Memor NYC (Memor Museum), a company specializing in the promotion and exhibition of Asian art and cultures, is seeking a skilled Publicity and Marketing Specialist to join the team. In this role, you will lead company publicity and promotional efforts through management of traditional and social media, PR, and advertising initiatives in coordination with appropriate staff personnel. You will collaborate closely with management to develop, present and implement high-level promotional plans and build or strengthen media relations between the company and local/national/international organizations as well as support start-up company development to ensure alignment with budgetary and resource goals and values. This position is on-site at our New York City office with occasional opportunity for remote work. This position requires full professional working proficiency in Mandarin.
Publicity and Marketing Specialist Responsibilities:
Lead company publicity and promotional efforts through meticulous, detailed and budget-appropriate planning to ensure strong company presence in both traditional and social media landscapes prominent in the West and Asia/East Asia
Oversee daily operation of company social media accounts and strengthen media presence through engaging proper advertising channels, media connections and influencer resources
Develop PR strategies, organize press events and manage press release distribution; serve as liaison between company and outside media, and lead staff training in proper PR conduct and interaction
Develop and maintain media relations, including pitching, securing coverage and inviting to events
Make the publicity and marketing budgets, ensuring ROI of all companies
Collaborate with other company departments to understand key publicity goals and project audiences through integrated, deep understanding of Asian international trends and New York local landscape to reach diverse groups
Conduct market research and analyze media coverage and trends to assess company media efficacy and present solutions to readjust
Oversee related staff members in allocating tasks and ensuring deadline adherence
Deliver results in a timely manner and respond to upper management with sense of urgency and appropriate follow-through
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of a BS/BA and minimum 1-5 years overall experience in a Publicity or Marketing.
Must have experience in social media operations in addition to traditional media and PR experience
Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills to reach short and long-term goals in project success and annual company growth
Experience in leading a diverse and international team with broad and detailed perspectives on project scope and logistic implementation
General understanding of or experience in journalism, communications and/or advertising and sales, preferred
Work experiences or knowledge in the museum, entertainment or event planning industry, preferred
Work experiences or knowledge in start-up companies, preferred
Must be proficient in Mandarin

Pay: $55,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
