Job Overview:
As a Retail Social Media Manager, you will be the creative force behind our social media strategy and content for the merchandise department. You will be responsible for curating, scheduling, and managing content across all major social platforms, building our online presence, and engaging with our followers to increase brand awareness and customer loyalty. Your efforts will help drive sales, traffic, and customer interaction through compelling, on-brand storytelling and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy tailored to retail and eCommerce goals.
Create, manage, and schedule regular social media posts across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, and other platforms.
Curate eye-catching visuals, captions, and creative campaigns that align with the brand’s voice and aesthetic.
Analyze social media performance metrics to assess the success of campaigns, providing actionable insights and improvements.
Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and build relationships with customers and influencers.
Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotions, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
Monitor trends in the retail industry and social media to ensure we stay ahead of the curve.
Manage social media advertising campaigns, budgets, and audience targeting strategies to drive traffic and sales.
Stay up-to-date on best practices in social media marketing, tools, and algorithms.
Oversee the performance of the ecommerce platform, ensuring a seamless customer experience, from browsing to checkout.
Manage the retail merchandise inventory, including selection, pricing, and allocation of products.
Assist with training and managing retail staff on product knowledge and sales techniques
Assist with promotional events and merchandise
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in social media management, ideally within retail, eCommerce, or a similar industry.
Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.).
Excellent written communication skills and ability to tailor tone and style to the brand.
Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer).
Knowledge of paid social media strategies and ad campaigns.
Ability to think creatively, adapt to trends, and develop engaging content.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Basic photo/video editing skills and familiarity with design tools like Canva, Photoshop, or similar.
Passion for retail and consumer trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience with influencer marketing and partnerships.
Knowledge of SEO, email marketing, and content marketing strategies.
Experience with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, or similar.
Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the sports industry.
Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms and digital marketing strategies.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and consumer trends.
