Job Summary

The Sales Account Executive generates advertising revenue by calling on established agencies, cold-calling new prospects, and convincing potential clients of the merits of television advertising. You will develop and increase sales volume for both TV and digital revenue, focusing on working with local clients in the Baton Rouge, LA area (DMA).

Responsibilities

Implements strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals.

Establishes credible relationships with the local business community.

Prospect, qualify, close, and grow NEW business.

Makes sales calls on existing and prospective clients.

Maintains assigned accounts and develops new accounts.

Prepares and delivers sales presentations to clients.

Continues to learn and implement new strategies and products.

Explains to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services effectively.

Provides clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media.

Develops advertising schedules with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising into station media.

Works with creative services in the production of clients’ creative elements for both broadcast and digital advertising campaigns.

Responsible for order entry, contracts, follow-up, and collections.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination ofeducationand work-related experience.

Minimum two years’ experience in sales, preferably in the media field.

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them.

Knowledge of digital marketing basics (Google/Facebook, etc.) preferred.

Proficiency in MS Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and basic office equipment required.

Base Pay Range: $35-50k; $100k+ potential.
