Job Overview
The Cult Creatives ( www.thecultcreatives.com ) are seeking a highly skilled and creative Social Media Manager to join our creative team. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies to elevate our own agency presence as well as manage our artists’ roster accounts, engage fan bases, and drive organic growth. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the dynamic realm of the music industry, where you will play a pivotal role in promoting our exceptional roster of dance music artists to a global audience.
Duties
Develop and implement effective social media marketing strategies across multiple platforms including Tik Tok, Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube.
Conduct thorough research to identify target audiences and emerging trends in the digital landscape.
Create engaging content tailored to each platform, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
Utilize tools such as Hootsuite for scheduling posts and monitoring engagement metrics.
Collaborate with the Cult team to create targeted ad campaigns that align with overall marketing goals.
Analyze performance metrics using Google Analytics and other reporting tools to assess the effectiveness of campaigns.
Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner.
Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to ensure our social media presence remains competitive.
Assist in video editing for promotional content as needed.
Essential Qualities
Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably within the music or entertainment industry.
Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices for content optimization.
Excellent creative and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and develop engaging content.
Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and scheduling software.
Strong organizational project management abilities, including multitasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with artists, team members, and external partners.
Passion for music and a keen eye for identifying trends, emerging artists, and opportunities for our talent roster.
Desirable Qualities
Educated to degree standard in a relevant subject area.
Experience working with musicians, record labels, or music-related organizations.
Familiarity with digital advertising and paid social media campaigns.
Graphic design skills and knowledge of photo and video editing software.
Understanding of SEO principles and the ability to optimise social media content for search visibility.
Knowledge of copyright and intellectual property laws as they relate to social media marketing in the music industry.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to network and build relationships with influencers, bloggers, and other industry professionals.
