As a rapidly growing start-up, we are seeking a dynamic director of business development to drive our continued expansion by developing and executing strategic sales initiatives within the healthcare, institutional, hospitality, and commercial sectors. The Director of Business Development will play a critical role in achieving revenue targets, expanding our client base, and upholding our commitment to service excellence. This role requires a proactive leader with a proven track record in sales management, particularly within these key sectors.

Essential Functions:

1. Strategic Planning and Execution:

Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets in the targeted markets.
Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.

2. Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that align with SonderBloom’s service offerings.

3. Financial Oversight:

Manage the sales budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets.
Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports for senior management.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, representing SonderBloom’s values and mission.

5. Compliance and Ethics:

Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Uphold the highest ethical standards in all interactions and transactions.

Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

· Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive sales experience. Selling cleaning or food services is a plus!

Skills:

Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

·Other Requirements:

Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Working Environment:

This position is based in a professional office environment, with frequent travel to client sites and industry events. The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Ability to travel frequently.

*Compensation includes a base salary with commission. Both salary and commission will be reviewed annually and may be adjusted based on organizational growth and evolving strategies.
