Spear Bio is seeking a highly driven, team-oriented, and extremely organized individual to support the development and execution of our clinical product strategy and enhance the company’s position in the biomarker detection market. Reporting to the Head of Product Management & Marketing, the Product Manager will be based onsite at our HQ in Woburn, MA, and help manage the product portfolio, ensuring alignment with customer needs and driving successful product launches.
The Product Manager will collaborate closely with R&D, Commercial teams, and key stakeholders to optimize product offerings and maintain competitiveness.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the planning and execution of product portfolio roadmaps, in coordination with the R&D and Commercial teams.
Strategize and collaborate with the Head of Product Management & Marketing to define new product features, benefits, and tradeoffs based on customer feedback, competitive landscape, and market demands, ensuring ongoing optimization of existing product features.
Lead cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring smooth hand-offs between R&D, Marketing, and Commercial functions.
Support the execution of go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, pricing, and launch planning.
Contribute to customer and market research to inform product strategy and decisions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors, industry trends, and technological advancements.
Provide input into tactical marketing efforts, including customer segmentation, marketing mix, and messaging.
Act as a liaison between the Product Management team and external stakeholders, including KOLs and key customers, at relevant industry events and conferences.
Qualifications:
5-7 years of hands-on product management experience, specifically with immunoassays, molecular diagnostics, or life sciences required, with a proven track record driving all stages of product development (from ideation through launch). Only candidates with the direct industry experience (and required product management experience) referenced above will be considered.
Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Biochemistry; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Prior experience collaborating across R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams, ensuring all teams are following product roadmap time frames.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate market data, customer insights, and competitive offerings.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information in a clear manner.
Travel up to 15% may be required.
