Job Title: Graphic Designer/ Marketing Assistant
FLSA Status: Part-Time hourly, non-exempt

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Graphic Designer is part of Highland’s Marketing team taking brand direction and
assignments from the Creative Design Manager to execute visual assets used in marketing
campaigns, digital and printed advertising materials. The ideal candidate understands the
importance of visual brand cohesion and is incredibly organized, attuned to details and
accuracy and has a proven record of success working on projects in differing stages of
development. In addition to graphic design support, this role will also provide high-level
administrative support to the Marketing team.
DESIGN JOB FUNCTIONS:
Create and execute design projects as directed by the Creative Design Manager which
may include:
o Digital and print advertisements for our beer products or taproom events
o Sales sheets and product infographics
o Website and social media graphics
o Property directional signage
o Branded presentation templates for departments outside of marketing
Create solutions that are within our style and brand guidelines
Print execution of visual assets may be required
Sourcing new print vendors may be required
Perform image cropping, resizing and adjusting to ensure right size and better quality
ADMINISTRATIVE JOB FUNCTIONS:
Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines effectively to support successful
implementation of special projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and
information flow.
Schedules and attends marketing meetings, taking notes and recording minutes.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in graphic design
preferred
1-2 years of experience working on design projects within Adobe Creative Suite
Enthusiasm for craft beer is a plus
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Proficient with project management software – Monday
Proficient in Adobe Suite, with emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Proficient in Powerpoint, Canva or other presentation building software
Ability to multi-task several projects and meet deadlines with high quality work
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and Outlook, with the
ability to learn new or updated software.
Working Conditions and Requirements:
Schedule approximately 20 hours per week, typically Mon-Fri. Specific hours flexible.
Must live in in Asheville area. This is not a remote position.
Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
At-Will Employment:
Employment with Highland Brewing Co. may be terminated by either Highland or the employee
at any time with or without cause or notice.
