The Senior Manager, Communications will lead our public relations efforts. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of PR initiatives, working closely with our agency partners, ensuring alignment across the organization to amplify key company messages, and providing guidance to our social media strategy. Reporting to the Senior Director of Brand and Communications, this individual will also collaborate with senior leaders to refine messaging and develop thought
leadership
content, as well as manage our Social Media Associate.
The ideal candidate is a proactive storyteller with a deep understanding of media relations, social media, trends, and corporate communications.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction to the PR agency to ensure alignment with business objectives. Oversee media relations efforts, including identifying opportunities for earned media coverage. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of PR initiatives, optimizing strategies as needed. Lead the submission process for awards, ensuring compelling nominations. Execute a proactive pitching strategy to further position the company and our
leadership
team as industry thought leaders.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, HR, Product, and
leadership
teams to ensure PR efforts are aligned with broader company initiatives. Identify opportunities to amplify key initiatives across the company. Oversee social media strategy, planning, and execution across all platforms to enhance brand visibility. Manage a direct report responsible for social media content creation, execution, and engagement. Analyze performance to identify opportunities for
optimization
and adjustments to the strategy.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data-driven trends.
Requirements Bachelor‘s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related skill set 6+ years working experience in public relations and content creation across various social platforms Strong media relations expertise with experience managing PR agencies. Excellent writing, editing, and message development skills. Proven ability to collaborate with and support senior leaders. Experience in social media strategy and content development. Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects in a
fast-paced environment
.
$110,000 – $120,000 a year
This position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance. Yearly incentive bonus target 20% of base salary
