The Marketing Specialist II is responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns and materials for primary care, urgent care, and women’s health, as well as for managing provider transitions for the NY/NJ market. This position works closely with the Provider Marketing Director and internal operations teams to develop and deploy various marketing materials and strategies based on business needs. The Marketing Specialist is an integral member of our marketing team and plays a key role in creating clear patient communications about care team changes and transitions and working alongside our clinicians to help them build their practices. Additionally, an ability to be responsive, communicate clearly, and develop effective marketing strategies with our medical providers and internal operations stakeholders is a key component of this role.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience creating and implementing new marketing strategies. This person should be comfortable with collaborating and communicating with clinical personnel, business partners and administrative leadership including operations, IT, real estate, human resources, medical affairs, practice managers and others to gain alignment and execute agreed upon objectives.
Candidate must be a well-organized, highly motivated, self-starter with a passion for communicating and driving results. The ideal candidate should thrive on proactively seeking new insights, finding creative solutions and measuring results.

Primary Responsibilities:
Manage patient-facing and internal-facing marketing materials for the primary care and women’s health division of Optum Medical Care’s NY/NJ market
Develop, manage and execute various marketing print and digital materials, and patient communications
Communicate clearly and consistently with stakeholders, including physicians and advanced care practitioners, as well as practice managers, regional directors, and other marketing team members
Lead new provider orientations weekly, introducing new clinicians to the various marketing tactics available to them
Develop clean and professional PowerPoint slide decks to aid in presenting information clearly to stakeholders and other marketing team members
Lead assigned projects from start to finish, ensuring smooth and timely delivery
Attend regular provider transition meetings and provide updated statuses to the marketing team as needed
Be highly organized, leveraging project-management tools to track status, due dates, and to collaborate with other marketers on team projects
Oversee the photography vendors in the NY/NJ region, escalating any concerns and managing delivery of new professional provider portraits
Work with other marketing team members to help enhance process efficiencies and create new workflows as needed
Manage routine monthly, weekly and quarterly internal and external communications that impact primary care and women’s health providers in the market
Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams, developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
Manage legal review and approval of all newly-developed patient-facing communications for primary care, urgent care and women’s health departments

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
5+ years of project management experience
3+ years of experience in marketing, advertising or related field
Proven curiosity for continuous learning and ability to apply insights to the business
Proven solid spoken and written communications skills
Demonstrated solid organizational skills
Demonstrated energized by a fast-paced growth-focused organization
Proven comfort working in ambiguous situations and change; able to creatively find solutions to challenges and “cut through the clutter” to get things done
Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to changing business requirements
Proven drive to innovate and consider new approaches
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with marketing project management systems (Workfront/Asana)
Agency experience
Experience working with providers and senior leadership
Demonstrated keen attention to detail
Proven self-starter with the ability to balance and execute multiple projects concurrently

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
