Position Summary…What you’ll do… Walmart Marketplace is currently seeking a Sr. Manager of Brand Strategy to lead the ongoing evolution of the Walmart Marketplace brand, including its brand foundation and architecture. This is a
unique opportunity
to define brand positioning for one of the fastest growing eCommerce platforms and inspire third-party sellers of all sizes as they grow with Walmart.

and event professionals who are passionate about helping sellers take their businesses to new heights and helping Walmart customers find more items to love.
The successful candidate is both a creative visionary and strategic thinker with a track record of successfully developing differentiated brand foundations and brand architectures with unique selling propositions to engage B2B audiences. The leader works cross-functionally to acutely understand target audiences, manage the Walmart Marketplace brand portfolio and establish tools and resources for consistent execution of the brand to achieve business outcomes.
This position is based in Bentonville, AR;
San Bruno, CA; or Hoboken, NJ. What you’ll do:
Lead Walmart Marketplace brand creation and development strategy, including a brand foundation consisting of brand voice, visual identity, messaging and unique selling proposition; and brand architecture for Walmart Marketplace and its portfolio (Walmart Fulfillment Services, Walmart Local Finds and major events).Collaborate with Business Development, Lifecycle Marketing and Analytics to understand and define target audiences and develop a brand that resonates with sellers at all stages of the seller journey.
Counsel business teams and external partners on brand positioning and creative direction as you cross-functionally to implement the brand strategy. Own adherence to brand standards and strategy by developing style guides, tools and resources and advising teams across the business. Partner with Events, Seller
Education
and creative production teams to execute the Marketplace brand consistently across paid advertising; owned channels, including social, web and email;
event booths and activations; sales collateral and more. Lead standing reviews of content creation to ensure high quality, consistent and optimal execution. Partner with Walmart Marketing to ensure alignment with enterprise branding. Provide regular analysis of the competitive marketplace brand landscape to guide brand positioning and further empower business teams. Manage external agencies, budgets and timelines to ensure success. Partner with internal teams to conduct brand perception research and apply findings to strengthen the Marketplace brand.
You’ll sweep us off our feet if…You have 5+ years of brand management and creative direction experience within an online marketplace, retailer, eCommerce brand or a brand agency supporting one or more of these types of businesses.
You have direct experience creating new brands or transforming existing brands for B2B organizations and sales teams.
You are data-driven and have created research and measurement programs to define target audiences and brand positioning and determine brand effectiveness.
