Position Summary…What you’ll do… We’re looking for a highly strategic and
customer-centric
thinker who can help develop and implement the vision for member retention communications through utilization of key marketing experiences and platforms (including owned, paid, site, etc.). You will also partner cross functionally, with internal teams as well as external agencies, to drive cutting edge
innovation
– helping Sam’s lead the way in using data and personalization to drive engagement from our members.
This role will work out of our Bentonville, AR office and report to the Sr. Director of Marketing Planning and Strategy.
What you’ll do:
Develop strategies to enhance member engagement and reduce churn.
Design and lead development of omni-channel marketing strategies to specifically drive member behaviors such as category penetration, omni shopping conversions, increase AOV, etc to improve renewal rates.
Collaborate with team and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment, transparency of work and areas of opportunity to cross leverage tactics
Work with Marketing Intelligence to identify key audience cohorts to target and leverage insights (behavioral, attitudinal, demographic) and formulate a segmentation strategy within current member base to optimize campaign performance
Use
innovation
and data driven personalization across channels to increase incremental performance and to nurture and retain members
Define and own goals, KPIs, budget and forecast for performance
Monitor key retention metrics (renewal rates, engagement rates and other 5 star metrics) to track effectiveness of strategies
Develop testing strategies (A/B and multivariate tests) in partnership with Marketing Intelligence to continually optimize all areas of the program, including identifying opportunities to better understand our member segments and their lifecycle and behaviors
Present hindsight campaign reporting – ensuring that all share outs include key learnings
Partner with Product and Tech teams to run discovery on new and existing functionalities for
innovation
strategy and testing and share out data requirements for marketing needs while prioritizing initiatives based on business objectives
What you’ll bring:6+ years of retention marketing experience across areas including CRM and marketing channels, customer segmentation, personalization, and promotions in a B2C environment.
