The Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Club (SCVBGC) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented
Marketing & Communications Coordinator to lead marketing efforts and share the impact of our programs with the
community. This role is essential in developing and executing marketing strategies, crafting compelling program
stories, and engaging donors and stakeholders. Approximately 60% of this position focuses on marketing and
communications, while 40% is dedicated to supporting promotional efforts for fundraising and outreach initiatives.
Marketing & Communications (60%)
Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase awareness and engagement.
Manage and grow the Club’s social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
Create engaging content, including program highlights, success stories, and donor impact updates, to showcase the Club’s mission.
Design digital and print materials for events, campaigns, and outreach.
Maintain and update the organization’s website with relevant news, events, and donor information.
Produce newsletters, press releases, and email campaigns to engage donors and the community.
Capture and curate high-quality photos and videos to enhance storytelling.
Track analytics and engagement metrics to measure marketing effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Promotional & Outreach Support (40%)
Promote and market fundraising initiatives to drive donor engagement and community participation.
Assist in the creation of sponsorship and donor materials to support resource development efforts.
Support outreach efforts by developing messaging and visuals that communicate the Club’s impact.
Assist in planning and promoting community engagement opportunities that elevate the Club’s presence.
Location: Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Club
Hours: Full-time (Occasional evenings and weekends for outreach efforts)
Reports To: Director of Resource Development
Salary: $23/HR

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related roles.
Strong storytelling and writing skills to create compelling content for donors and stakeholders.
Proficiency in social media management, email marketing platforms, and graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
Experience with website management and digital content creation.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
Passion for youth development and the mission of the Boys & Girls Club.
