Position Summary:

Join Oak View Group as the Director of Marketing, Events, where you’ll lead innovative marketing campaigns and promotions for a variety of revenue-driven and brand-specific events globally. From conceptualizing creative campaigns to executing flawless activations, this role is critical in driving ticket sales, fostering engagement, captivating story-telling through best in class content capture and delivering exceptional event experiences.

This role pays an annual salary of $131,000 to $150,000 and is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities:
As Director of Marketing, Events, you will oversee the marketing strategies for a diverse portfolio of events, including but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for all assigned events, including strategic marketing plans and creative activations.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with a database of strong Photographers and videographers, media partners and oversee the media buying process across multiple platforms (digital, radio, print, TV, outdoor).
Create memorable and one-of-a-kind activations to enhance the attendee experience and drive event engagement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement content strategies, including promotional materials, videos, and digital and social campaigns.
Work closely with Digital and CRM leads for necessary campaigns.
Work in tandem with the Global Events team to align on strategies and deliverables.
Coordinate with photographers and videographers to capture event highlights and
collaborate with PR and social media teams for content distribution.
Analyze event marketing performance and implement adjustments based on data
insights.
Track and report on ticket sales, ensuring goals are met and revenue opportunities
maximized.
Research and implement event marketing trends, applying best practices to campaigns.
Manage relationships with all internal and external key stakeholders to ensure seamless
event execution.
Prepare post-event recaps to share insights and results with stakeholders.
Travel as necessary to be onsite for applicable events.
Overall, execute seamless collaboration with the VP of Events and their team as well.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in marketing/advertising, with a strong preference for experience in Sports & Entertainment or event marketing.
Proven ability to create and execute innovative marketing plans and promotional ideas.
Expertise in digital and social media marketing, with a solid understanding of audience
engagement strategies.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet
deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and other creative software tools.
Experience with writing press releases, crafting marketing plans, and analyzing
performance metrics.
Ability to travel as required and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and
holidays.
A collaborative mindset and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
