Primary Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled, hands on and collaborative Vice President of Marketing to join our team. The primary purpose of this role is to lead the creation of, and directly execute, a multi-channel Marketing plan which aligns Aztec’s products/services to identifiable addressable markets.
The Marketing Plan will consist of the following areas:
Alignment of direct addressable funding to Aztec product and services with a focus on product type and product mix which creates differentiation in the market
Development and creation of multi-channel campaigns (print, digital, social) utilizing TAM segmentation, historical purchasing data, customer profile data, specific requirements of funding, competitor analysis and customer-based needs assessment modeling
Identification, selection, and execution of right fit Marketing channels which will lead to qualified leads
Alignment of revenue and billings targets to Aztec product and services campaigns
Campaign measurement metrics aligned with revenue targets utilizing leading indicator and trigger date modeling
Deployment and measurement of quantifiable targets and metrics for each campaign in addition to each event which promotes Aztec products and services (e.g. conferences, meetings with key external stakeholders, policy meetings, partnership Agreements)
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Business Unit Leaders to Develop Multi-Channel Campaigns Focused on Print, Digital, and Social Media:
Identify priority Marketing channels which will generate valuable leads focused on achieving targeted Sales goals
Focus on the alignment of Aztec offerings to addressable b-b and b-g funding sources
Implement lead distribution model which go directly to appropriate Sales team members in real time
Develop Marketing content based on concepts developed by the Business Units
Oversee Overall Website Environment:
Ensure appropriate content and website optimization in order to capture qualified leads
Ensure qualified leads are captured and the Aztec mission is represented throughout the entire website
Align Marketing Plan to Sales Plan targets and Pub Plan releases:
Develop and deploy Marketing Plan so the plan aligns with timing of Sales cycles incorporated into the overall Sales targets
Develop and deploy Marketing Plan so the plan aligns with Pub Plan product releases supported by promotional activities
Develop, Utilize, and Maintain Competitive Analysis:
Develop and deploy Competitive Analysis framework for Adult Education and Financial Literacy markets
Devise and Deploy Campaign Analytic Measurement focused on ROI :
Assign an ROI model to each campaign and each promotional event Aztec participates in
Maintain and Update Key Messaging Focused on Overall Mission of Company:
Develop and deploy campaigns which emphasize the mission driven approach and positive outcomes Aztec creates for adult learners
Develop and deploy efficacy campaigns focused on outcomes tied to overall Mission of Company
Operational Planning:
Participate in annual budgeting process
Collaborate with Business Unit Leaders, VP Content Development and Chief Technology Officer on product release dates with accompanying promotional activity/support
Collaborate with Business Unit Leaders, VP, Analytics and Operations on capturing and transitioning qualified Marketing leads to the appropriate Sales channels
The VP of Marketing will play a critical role across functional groups responsible for the following areas:
1. Sales target achievement through the generation of qualified leads.
2. Pub Plan and Tech Plan development and product release promotion.
3. Existing Client renewals plus add-on product/services alignment with existing customer base.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of executing highly effective Marketing campaigns, specifically digital marketing, where the candidate will implement best practices, as well as developing, measuring, and achieving Marketing Plan objectives in a collaborative environment.
The candidate must also possess exceptional leadership skills given the importance in advancing the execution of an accountability driven multi-channel Marketing plan which aligns Aztec’s products/services to identifiable addressable markets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or a related field
5+ years of creating outcomes driven print and digital marketing campaigns, to include website optimization aligned to qualified leads targets
2+ years of senior leadership experience in developing, executing, and achieving multi-channel Marketing campaign targets
Experience in the Education sector, preferably in Workforce Development, Financial Education, Ed Tech
Experience with developing a Marketing lead generation framework which informs Sales leadership of highly qualified leads in real time
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization
