Our sister bank, Grand Rapids State Bank, is seeking a Marketing Communications Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for embodying the bank’s voice through social media management, event coordination, bank communications, and content writing. They will also assist the marketing department with a variety of tasks, including marketing plans and strategy.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below:
Social Media Management
Create and schedule brand-appropriate content across various social media platforms, ensuring timely and relevant posts
Promote the bank’s involvement in local events, sponsorships, and initiatives that encourage community relations
Communicate important notices on social media, as needed
Engage with followers on all platforms
Increase brand awareness and follower engagement
Analyze performance metrics and monitor trends for platform optimization
Ensure all social media content aligns with the banks’ brand identities
Event Coordination
Coordinate bank’s involvement in bank-sponsored community events
Coordinate bank-sponsored volunteer events for staff
Coordinate all details of events, including scheduling and personnel
Adhere to marketing event budget
Assist in orders and inventory of promotional items
Attend events as required
Communicate to Internal and External Audiences
Communicate notices and advertisements across various software programs for internal and external digital signage and online banking.
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across various channels
Ensure all communications align with the banks’ brand identities
Content Writing
Develop a deep understanding of the brand’s voice and ensure that all written content aligns with the banks’ brand identities
Draft and distribute press releases as needed
Develop industry relevant articles for bank blogs
Revise and update existing content as needed to keep it relevant and fresh’
Edit and proofread copy as needed
Assist in developing internal and external e-newsletters and other communications to keep employees and customers informed about news, updates, and initiatives
Perform Other Duties and Tasks as Assigned by Management
Assist marketing department with a variety of tasks
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or related field preferred
Minimum Experience: One to three years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, event planning, banking, or related field preferred
Location: Remote with travel to Mound, Delano, and Grand Rapids, MN as necessary
Salary Range: $50,000 to $60,000 annually, depending upon experience. A competitive benefit package is available, which includes health, dental, vision and life insurance, 401(k), long and short-term disability, PTO & paid holidays
