Position Summary
Grant’s Farm is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing and Events to join our senior leadership team. This position will oversee, coordinate, and partner with our marketing firm to ensure the success of the development of marketing strategies and products for the organization. This position will also be leading the event coordination and execution team and be responsible for large scale event sales. The successful person in this role will have an entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership skills, networking ability and work well in a team atmosphere.
Essential Job Duties
Responsible for event outreach and oversees execution of consumer, and sponsor related, events and public space activations
Generate and execute sales for large scale events including corporate events and new sales
Manage sponsorship/partnership relationships
The Director of Marketing & Events also manages a marketing agency that coordinates communications, PR, social channels and website
Develop and advance Grant’s Farm social communication strategies in conjunction with the marketing agency
Ensure all areas of Grant’s Farm are equipped with brand compliant signage
Daily review of the website and execute WordPress content updates
Coordination with sponsors on executing contractual obligations
Coordination with PR team to promote positive coverage of Grant’s Farm and our seasonal events
Coordination with vendors (e.g. photographers, marketing agencies, website dev team) for creative assets, etc.
Collaborates with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization.
Forecasts, drafts, implements, and oversees the department’s operating budget.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Thorough understanding of market developments.
Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
At least five years of experience in marketing and long-range planning desired.
Preferred platform competencies include:
Adobe or video editing software
WordPress
Google Product Suite
Microsoft Office Suite
