We seek adynamicSocial Media Headto lead our engagement strategies across platforms.

Job Overview:

The Social Media Head will be responsible fordeveloping, executing, and optimizingsocial media strategies to increase readership, engagement, and brand visibility. This role requires expertise in audience growth, real-time news dissemination, and digital storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Social Media Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement acomprehensive social media strategyacross platforms (Twitter/ X, Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, You Tube, Threads, Whats App Channels, etc.).

Plandaily, weekly, and special campaigncalendars in coordination with editorial teams.

Drivereal-time news updateswhile maintaining journalistic integrity.

Optimize content forvirality, discoverability, and SEO.

2. Content & Engagement

Oversee the creation ofhigh-quality, platform-specific content(text, images, videos, reels, shorts, threads).

Ensure fast and accurate dissemination ofbreaking newswhile adhering to ethical journalism.

Engage with followers, respond to comments, and manageaudience interactionsprofessionally.

Collaborate with journalists to promoteexclusive stories, investigative reports, and editorials.

3. Growth & Analytics

MonitorKPIs (followers, reach, engagement, CTRs, etc.)and optimize strategies based on analytics.

Track trending topics and leveragehashtags, trends, and user-generated contentto boost engagement.

ConductA/B testingfor different content formats and posting schedules.

Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Twitter Analytics, etc.) to generate reports.

4. Digital Monetization & Partnerships

Identify opportunities forrevenue generationthrough social media (sponsored content, paid promotions, memberships, etc.).

Collaborate withbrands and advertisersfor partnerships aligned with editorial standards.

Work with ad sales teams toboost digital ad revenuesvia social channels.

5. Crisis Management & Compliance

Handle sensitive content withjournalistic responsibilityand prevent misinformation.

Manage crisiscommunicationand ensuredamage controlduring controversies.

Stay updated withsocial media policies, copyright laws, and ethical guidelines.
