Marketing & Communications Manager
The Position
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Human Resources, the
Marketing & Communications Manager (Manager) is responsible for
overseeing the team of Marketing & Communications Specialists and
developing and implementing marketing strategies, campaigns, and
communications plans to promote Greater Midland services. The Manager
will keep up to date with changing demands and industry trends through
data analytics. The Manager must maintain high personal standards and
adhere to and promote the Purpose and Values of Greater Midland.
Major Job Responsibilities
Lead/provide daily direction for the Marketing & Communications staff
Develop and manage marketing and communications strategies that
propel programs and services forward
Analyze member conversion rates and the effectiveness of promotions to
determine what drives sales
Identify potential new markets and create plans to enter those markets;
work with internal leaders and program owners to drive demand
Design, develop, and distribute consistent messaging and branding
throughout all communication touchpoints
Collaborate with leaders to understand users and offerings; develop
focused plans with key stakeholders across all departments
Oversee efficient processes and approvals for communications materials
Explore and adopt new channels, methods, and platforms to optimize
marketing and communications
In collaboration with the Controller, ensure project/department
milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets
Manage communications to ensure positive interactions with media
personnel and the public
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field (5 years of experience
preferred, including marketing analysis and leadership experience)
Strong knowledge of marketing-related business practices, including
advertising, market research, technology, and budgeting
Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft impactful messaging
Effective communication skills with an adaptable style to connect with
team members, executive leaders, and external partners
Highly organized with strong time management abilities
Flexible and adaptable in dynamic environments, demonstrating
problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask effectively
Proactive, and self-driven while thriving in a team-focused environment
Physical Requirements
Office is located in the Greater Midland Community Center. Regular
communication and contact with Executive Leadership Team, employees,
and members. Repetitive keyboard activity and sitting at computer
workstation.
