As part of our commitment to excellence, we seek a dedicated and creative Marketing and Communications Coordinator to enhance our outreach, engagement, and visibility.

Job Summary

GICS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Coordinator to develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives that support student enrollment, community engagement, and fundraising efforts. This individual will manage internal and external communications, social media, branding, and event promotions while collaborating with school leadership, parent organizations, and external partners. The ideal candidate is passionate about education, skilled in digital marketing, and experienced in content creation and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities

Communications and Public Relations

Serve as the primary contact for school communications, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding.
Draft and distribute press releases, newsletters, and parent communications.
Maintain and update the school’s website with relevant and timely information.
Collaborate with staff, parents, and community members to foster a positive public image for GICS.
Assist in crisis communication and reputation management when needed.
Manage media relations, including pitching stories and coordinating interviews with local press.
Develop internal communication strategies to ensure alignment among faculty, staff, and stakeholders.

Marketing and Outreach

Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote GICS’s unique programs and attract prospective families.
Create and manage engaging content for social media, newsletters, and the school website.
Design and distribute promotional materials, including flyers, brochures, and videos.
Enhance community engagement through digital campaigns, storytelling, and success spotlights.
Participate in community outreach and business events to promote the school, recruit new students, build new partnerships and sponsorships, and expand exposure.
Monitor website and social media analytics, providing insights to optimize engagement.
Develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and enrollment.
Conduct market research to understand audience demographics and refine outreach efforts.
Maintain and enforce GICS’s brand identity across all communications and materials.

Branding and Visual Identity

Ensure all marketing materials align with GICS’s brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency.
Oversee the development of multimedia content, including photography and videography.
Work with graphic designers and creative professionals to produce high-quality branded materials.
Implement rebranding initiatives as needed to enhance the school’s visual presence.

Fundraising and Event Promotion

Support fundraising initiatives, including donor engagement, sponsorship outreach, and event marketing.
Collaborate with leadership to promote fundraising events such as the Family Fun Day, Jogathon, International Flair, and GALA.
Develop targeted email campaigns to increase donor and community support.
Design and implement strategies to boost participation in fundraising efforts.
Assist in the coordination of fundraising campaigns and donor recognition programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or nonprofit development (education sector preferred).
Proficiency in social media management, email marketing platforms, and website content management.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Experience using graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of data analytics tools to track and enhance engagement.
Bilingual proficiency in German or Spanish is a plus.
Passion for international education and cross-cultural learning.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $70,560–$75,600, based on experience and qualifications.

Other Duties

Perform additional tasks as assigned to support school operations and student well-being.

Special Physical Requirements

Visual acuity to see details at close range.
Ability to lift up-to 25 pounds.
Mobility to traverse all areas of the school site and assist with physical handling of students when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,520.00 – $68,880.00 per year
