Position Overview
As a Spanish Translator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our content resonates with Spanish-speaking audiences. You’ll translate and adapt a variety of materials, including website content, marketing campaigns, client communications, and internal documents. This remote role is perfect for someone who is fluent in both English and Spanish, has a strong understanding of cultural nuances, and is passionate about delivering high-quality translations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Translate written content from English to Spanish and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.
2. Localize marketing materials, including website copy, blog posts, social media content, and email campaigns.
3. Proofread and edit translated content to ensure it aligns with FOTOCOLE’s brand voice and style guidelines.
4. Collaborate with writers, designers, and marketers to ensure translated content meets quality standards.
5. Translate client communications, contracts, and other documents as needed.
6. Maintain a glossary of industry-specific terms to ensure consistency across translations.
7. Adapt content to suit regional dialects and cultural preferences of Spanish-speaking audiences.
8. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the clarity and effectiveness of translated materials.
9. Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
10. Stay updated on language trends and cultural developments to ensure translations remain relevant.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of professional translation experience, preferably in marketing or creative industries.
Native or near-native fluency in both English and Spanish.
Strong understanding of cultural nuances and regional dialects in Spanish.
Proficiency in translation tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both languages.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across translations.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the photography or creative industry.
Familiarity with SEO best practices for multilingual content.
Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
