Job Title: Marketing and Communications Associate

Position Summary: The Marketing and Communications Associate (Associate) supports innovative, results-driven marketing and communications initiatives for the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) and its affiliates. This entry-level role helps enhance awareness of the CCUA’s offerings and engagement opportunities within the credit union system, member credit unions, and business partners.

Reporting to the Vice President of Member Engagement (VP), the Associate assists in executing a wide range of marketing activities, including but not limited to, event promotion, social media management, data analysis, content creation, planning, member outreach, and website updates.

Collaboration is key to maintaining a consistent brand identity and communications style across the Association. The Associate will work closely with the business services unit, and various departments as directed. Additionally, this role includes administrative tracking and data entry responsibilities to support both the marketing/communications department and business services unit, as directed by the VP.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the execution of the CCUA’s marketing plan and strategies to drive engagement and organizational growth;
Create content for and manage engaging social media for CCUA and its affiliates across multiple platforms on a regular basis;
Support event marketing efforts, including the creation of promotional assets, onsite branding, and post-event recaps.
Assist in tracking and reporting marketing and communications performance of all marketing activities, including but not limited to, social media, email campaigns, events, and member/business partner engagement;
Draft and edit content including articles, op-eds, blogs, and news releases that highlight the CCUA, industry trends, and business partnerships;
Utilize project management tools to support marketing and business development initiatives and report insights that help shape future efforts;
Coordinate the procurement of promotional items and internal assets, including ordering the organization’s envelopes, letterhead, stationery, folders, and other branded materials, under the direction of the VP;
Collaborate regularly and with the VP to support and promote association and vendor events; and
Perform administrative tracking and data entry tasks to support marketing, communications, and business services operations as directed by the VP.
Capture photos at events and assist with visual storytelling. Photography experience or a desire to develop photography skills is a plus.
Perform other additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, or the equivalent education/experience;
One or more years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role.;
Foundational understanding of marketing principles, advertising, and audience demographics;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Proficiency with social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) and their management tools;
Experience with email marketing platforms, website content management systems, and basic graphic design tools preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
Strong MS Office skills and video conferencing skills;
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, particularly in writing, administrative tracking, and data;
Ability to work independently and complete projects as scheduled; and
Ability to travel.

Work Environment:

· This position may require travel to meet with strategic partners and attend industry events.

· The role is based at the CCUA’s headquarters; however this team member will have the flexibility to work remotely as needed. A minimum of 2 days per month in the office is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
