Job Description

The University of Oklahoma is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Marketing Manager to join ourdynamicMarketing and Communications team. This individual will focus on developing, implementing, and managing paid media campaigns, both digital and traditional advertising, while supporting cross-collaborativemarketing efforts and exploringinnovativeways to promote the university. The ideal candidate will possess a strong strategic mindset, creativity, and the ability to leverage market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.

Essential Duties:

Develop, implement, and manage paid media campaigns, both digital and traditional advertising.

Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities, trends, and potential areas for growth in theeducationsector.

Stay updated on market dynamics, customer behaviors, and competitive landscapes to informstrategic decision-making.

Analyze competitive landscapes in the highereducationsector, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with the University’s overall business objectives and corporate vision.

Ensure synergy between marketing strategies and broader organizational goals.

Recommend strategic adjustments based on insights gained from competitive intelligence.

Collaborate with account executives to synchronize marketing efforts with goals and timelines.

Facilitateeffective communicationandcollaborationacross different functional areas within the organization.

Partner with internal marketing and communications departments to create cohesive marketing campaigns.

Develop and execute comprehensive paid media strategies across digital and traditional platforms.

Create compelling and creative advertising copy that resonates with target audiences.

Manage relationships with external paid media vendors and agencies.

Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights foroptimization.

Use data-driven insights to inform and adjust marketing strategies and tactics.

Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for account executives andleadership.

Job Requirements

RequiredEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field,AND:

60 months of experience in marketing, with a focus on strategic campaign planning that includes paid media (digital and traditional).

Skills:

Ability to develop and manage the execution of strategic marketing campaigns.

Strong understanding of media planning, buying, andoptimization.

Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads).

Excellentproject managementand organizational skills.

Ability to write compelling and creative advertising copy.

Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable strategies.
