The Senior Product Marketing Specialist – Software Companies will have you influence and land the Go-to-Market and Product Marketing strategy targeting software development companies with Azure Marketing.
We’re looking for a technically-savvy and strategic product marketing professional to join the Azure Industry and Partner Marketing team. This is a fast-paced, exciting role where there is always a new challenge. It’s a highly visible role in a here-and-now hot space. Must be obsessed with outside-in view of customer and partner experience with both strategic and execution marketing chops.
You will be responsible for leading the strategy to best serve the needs of Software Companies building on Azure. That includes developing and executing the broad Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, messaging and positioning, product/program investment recommendations, and market research to inform these strategies. You will collaborate with stakeholders across product management, sales, engineering, product marketing, research, and more to drive Azure adoption and revenue growth. You will be the go to person for the audience and work on cloud services and areas spanning AI, code development, and helping software companies grow their businesses.
The role requires individuals who enjoy taking on challenges where previous roads do not exist, building through ambiguity, and getting technically deep and detailed across a wide range of technologies. Your strategies will cover a wide breadth of cross-functional areas and it will be key to bring business acumen to understand where the best opportunities are and bring people along on that vision

Responsibilities
Understand software company and developer needs, preferences, and trends through market research and feedback from customers, partners, and sellers
Analyze and identify market trends, upcoming challenges, and opportunities that will have an impact on Azure’s software company business growth
Develop and refine the software company-focused Why Azure value proposition, positioning, and messaging for Azure’s software-related products and services
Create thought leadership, technical content, and guidance that supports software developers as they build on Azure
Partner with engineering on roadmap recommendations and opportunities to better solve needs of software developers
Provide guidance to internal teams and consult on best ways to recruit, engage, and win with the software developer audience

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in product marketing
OR Master’s Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in product marketing
OR equivalent experience.
5+ years experience in product marketing in the software industry, with a focus on developers
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in product marketing
OR Master’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in product marketing
OR equivalent experience.
Experience in strategic marketing planning including audience insights and analytics
Experience executing successful go-to-market strategies in complex environments across multiple stakeholders.
Product Marketing IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 – $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 – $219,200 per year.
