Job Overview
The Director of Clinical Marketing will be tasked with establishing and running the Medical Marketing function for Cleveland Diagnostics. This role will be responsible for developing the strategic marketing plan to drive test adoption within the Urology segment, including establishing the medical education strategy and leading the transition to promotions. This role will also be responsible for developing and leading the cross-functional execution of annual tactical marketing plans, driving alignment with colleagues within marketing, medical affairs, sales, Cleveland Diagnostics’ leadership, and other key individuals inside and outside of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Owns the Medical Marketing Function and leads the development of annual medical marketing plans, defines goals, strategy, tactics and KPIs to generate measurable business impact. Contributes to clinical customer segmentation, positioning and messaging. Contributes to the creation of the overarching annual Marketing Plan.
Partners with Medical Affairs (consultant) to lead KOL recruiting, training and relationship management.
Develops and manages the company’s KOL activities including but not limited to advisory meetings, speakers bureau, research collaboration, and medical education.
Provides strategic direction advising Medical Affairs/Medical on market-facing publication strategy including end-points, publication venues, and collaborating authors and institutions.
Collaborates with Marketing Communications and external agencies to in developing product positioning and messaging to Urology audiences.
Develops and supports cross-functional execution of short-term and long-term marketing strategies across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, and with external partners.
Determines customers’ needs and assesses competitive products by specifying the market research, data and analytics needed to obtain insights. Collaborates with Marketing on designing and executing market research.
Collaborates on creating and delivery of product and clinical training for the Cleveland Diagnostics commercial field team, and partners.

Qualifications
10+ years of experience in diagnostics, laboratory services marketing or related marketing background with experience leading teams, HCP Marketing, and working with KOLs and Medical Affairs.
Ambitious self-starter with a solid work ethic who takes on projects and work on their own initiative without needing to be told or encouraged to do so.
Grit and sense of extreme ownership, willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
Organized with the ability to execute multiple priorities with speed while being comfortable without perfect information. Strong project management skills.
Ability to prioritize work, understanding when the work product needs to be perfect vs. good enough and how to manage resources accordingly.
Results driven with a clear metric-based understanding of what is succeeding, vs. what is not, how to adjust efforts to achieve success, or quickly understand what won’t work and drop it.
Resilient, flexible and able to move forward in the face of setbacks.
Intellectually curious and adaptable with the desire to learn and acquire new skills to take ownership, fill gaps and solve problems to move the company and plans forward.
Solid scientific background with the ability to interpret scientific data and publications and distill into compelling messaging.
Strong analytics, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex problems and develop creative solutions.
Comfort working with and advising Senior Leadership with the ability to communicate effectively at high levels of the organization.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with stronger listening skills.
Experience recruiting and managing talent.
Collaborative and skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization ability to organize and drive complex projects to completion while managing through influence.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the urology field is a plus but not required.
Experience in marketing lab services/diagnostics required.
Minimum BS in Science, Biology/Medicine a plus. MBA strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions/Equipment used:
Ability to sit and/or stand and operate a computer and other technology through course of day.
