Overview
Web and Social Media Coordinator Jobs in Providence, RI at Brown University
Job Title: Creative Project & Operations Manager (Part-Time, Potential Full-Time)
Location: Remote or Los Angeles-based (flexible)
Compensation: $25-$40/hour (with potential for growth)
About Us
We are a creative design studio specializing in high-end, unconventional, and design-forward merch for major brands. Our work goes far beyond slapping logos on T-shirts — we create storytelling-driven products that belong in the worlds they come from. This often means working with unusual materials, collaborating with niche vendors, and managing complex creative production from concept to delivery.
The Role
We’re looking for a Creative Project & Operations Manager to keep our creative projects running smoothly — from first idea to final delivery. This role is all about taking creative ideas and turning them into reality, often on tight timelines, with unconventional materials and outside-the-box solutions.
You’ll need to be highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable working across multiple projects at once — whether you’re coordinating with vendors, solving production puzzles, or tracking down that one impossible component that brings a product to life.
This is a part-time role to start, with potential to grow into a full-time position as our business expands. Ideally, you’re based in Los Angeles and can occasionally assist with hands-on work, but remote applicants are welcome.
Responsibilities
Project Management: Own the process from creative concept to final product — manage timelines, track moving parts, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
Creative Production Coordination: Work closely with our design and creative team to figure out how to actually make the products we dream up, often with non-traditional materials or methods.
Vendor Sourcing & Communication: Find, vet, and manage relationships with both conventional and unconventional vendors (everything from apparel producers to niche craftspeople).
Timeline & Deadline Management: Keep all projects on schedule, flag risks early, and problem-solve when things go off track.
Problem-Solving: Get creative when typical production methods won’t cut it — think outside the box to find solutions that fit our aesthetic and quality standards.
Sample & Quality Control: Request, track, and review samples to ensure everything meets our creative vision and standards.
Logistics Oversight: Track shipments, coordinate deliveries, and step in when logistical issues arise.
Documentation & Tracking: Keep clear records of vendors, costs, timelines, and production details to help the whole team stay informed and aligned.
Qualifications
The most important qualification: You excel at uniquely and creatively solving design and production problems on tight timelines — you thrive under pressure and love turning creative visions into reality, even when the path isn’t clear.
Strong project management skills — you thrive when juggling lots of moving parts across multiple projects.
Experience working in a creative production environment (apparel, product design, experiential, events — all are relevant).
Apparel production experience is a plus, but not required if you have experience managing creative products in other categories.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scrappy environment — you’re used to startup energy, small teams, and jumping in wherever needed.
A creative problem-solver who loves a challenge and doesn’t get flustered when things don’t go according to plan.
Experience working directly with vendors, fabricators, and creative teams to bring unconventional ideas to life.
Resourceful and well-connected — you know how to find the right people, materials, and processes even when they’re hard to track down.
Comfortable working remotely, but bonus points if you’re based in Los Angeles for occasional hands-on production work.
Why This Role is a Great Fit
You’ll work on truly unique projects — this isn’t cookie-cutter production work.
If you love taking wild creative ideas and figuring out how to actually make them, you’ll thrive here.
You’ll be a key player in a small, fast-moving team, with lots of room to grow as we do.
This is a part-time role with flexible hours, and the potential to grow into a full-time position.
