Position: Website Marketing Lead (Hybrid role Monday- Wednesday in-office)

Overview

Pet Supplies Plus is looking for an experienced and motivated Website Marketing Lead to join our dynamic team and drive the marketing efforts for our website.

This hybrid role will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of our Website Marketing strategy, content plan, and roadmap to drive organic traffic, engagement, and sales through our website. This individual will have two direct reports and report to the Sr. Marketing Manager – Website, Loyalty & Email.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a small team of website marketers to execute the website marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. This includes tactics to grow our online presence, eCommerce conversion, and support of the relationship between our neighbors and their local store.

Oversee and execute website promotional plans, including asset review, content creation and management, site search, and product recommendations.

Monitor and improve website performance, using data-driven insights to optimize key metrics such as traffic, conversions, and user engagement and applies learnings to achieve continuous and incremental improvements.

Implement and optimize SEO strategies and best practices to increase organic search visibility, improve rankings, and drive qualified traffic to the website.

Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, SEO best practices, and website marketing strategies to ensure the company remains competitive in the digital space.

Responsible for onsite marketing, support of other channel marketing, development of digital marketing triggers based on site interactions and Pet Partner marketing throughout the website.

Work closely with the merchandising team to ensure that Pet Partner brands are supported through promotional priorities and brand awareness pages and then measuring and reporting results.

Responsible for the website personalization strategy and execution of that strategy, including partnering with the eCommerce development team to put in place needed components for execution.

Contribute to website functionality improvements, including identifying areas for enhancement, creating functionality and new website component requests, and coordinating with technical teams for testing and rollout.

Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager on strategic planning and overall marketing goals for the website.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field of study or equivalent experience.

3+ years of experience in website or digital Marketing, preferably within the retail industry.

Proven experience leading a small team and managing website marketing projects from concept to execution.

Strong understanding of website performance metrics, analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.), and website optimization best practices.

Experience with e-commerce platforms and content management systems (e.g. Sitecore).

Hands-on experience with SEO, including keyword research, on-page optimization, backlink strategies, and SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz).

Experience with A/B testing, user experience (UX) best practices, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

Basic understanding of HTML.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across teams (merchandising, IT, marketing).

Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
